
Megan Hudson is a dedicated social worker with over twelve years of experience in direct care. She graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, and her passion for supporting families and children has been the driving force behind her career.
After graduation, Megan began her career as a Home Visiting Service Coordinator with the Watauga County Children’s Council, where she worked with new moms, teen moms, and at-risk families, providing care and support when it was needed most. She later moved on to Child Protective Services with the Avery County Department of Social Services, where she served as a Lead Investigator and was part of the multidisciplinary team at the Blue Ridge Children’s Advocacy Center.
In 2022, Megan took on the role of Director and Forensic Interviewer at the Ashe County Children’s Advocacy Center, where she has conducted over 150 child forensic interviews. Megan is deeply committed to her work and is driven by the belief that every child deserves to grow up in a safe, nurturing environment, free from abuse and neglect.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys kayaking, reading, and spending quality time with her husband and two children.
